The William Bee Ririe Laboratory is certified to perform a wide range of services to assist our healthcare professionals in providing our patients the highest level of care.

The laboratory is certified to perform collection in:

• Drug testing, both DOT and Non-DOT
• Bacteriology
• Parasitology
• Virology
• General Immunology
• Chemistry
• Urinalysis
• Hematology
• Blood Transfusion Service

The Laboratory's normal hours of operation are Monday - Friday 7a.m. - 5p.m., Saturday 8a.m. - 3p.m., Sunday 8a.m. - 12:00p.m. Drug screens are available Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 1p.m.  No Drug Screens Saturday & Sunday.  We have Medical laboratory Scientist available 24hrs a day to provide care for patients in the Emergency Room and in-patient settings as necessary.

William Bee Ririe Has the only COLA Accredited Hospital Laboratory in Rural Nevada.

The COLA Laboratory Accreditation Program is a nationally recognized program and the only one of its kind that utilizes teams of practicing laboratory professionals as inspectors. Designed to go beyond regulatory compliance, the program helps laboratories achieve the highest standards of excellence to positively impact patient care.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has granted the COLA Laboratory Accreditation Program deeming authority. It is also recognized by the Joint Commission and can be used to meet many state certification requirements.  

We are a nationally accredited laboratory that is routinely inspected by a private not-for-profit accrediting organization that has been approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and its requirements deemed as equivalent to or more stringent than CMS's regulatory requirements.
