Dietary Cook/Cook's Helper will be employed in Ely, Nevada. Duties include preparation, cooking and seasoning food for hospital patients, employees, and visitors. You will plan a cooking schedule with our supervisor to ensure food will be ready at specified times. You will also confer with dietitian regarding modified diet preparation, and use of leftovers. Responsibilities: wash and prepare fruits and vegetables; arrange salad ingredients in attractive manner and refrigerate until meal time. Maintain proper temperatures for hot and cold foods; apportion servings according to menu combinations or patient’s orders. Assist with ordering meat, poultry and fish for use in meal preparation. A Respiratory Therapist works in a hospital environment to provide physicians with assistance related to respiratory therapy. As a team member, you will be performing diagnostic testing, collecting and analyzing blood gas specimens, documenting in medical records, performing EKG\'s and filing reports, formulating teaching plans for patients, Administering medical gasses, breathing therapy modalities, and approved medication, maintaining equipment, providing mechanical ventilation, performing pulmonary tests, assist with airway management in Labor and Delivery, stress tests and set up holter/event monitors.
Requirements: Current CRT or RRT license (Nevada), current BLS and ACLS with PALS and NRP obtained within six months of hire, demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to care for patients, and current Nevada Blood Technologist or General Supervisor License (or must apply for gas technologist license within 30 days of hire).
One year as a RT in a hospital setting preferred, ER and L&D experience preferred. This position will include weekends and call.
This position is responsible for a high level of technical knowledge and application of that knowledge to department testing, clinical relevance, and complex problem solving skills. This position serves as a department resource, and is responsible for assisting with department compliance with all pertinent laboratory accrediting agency and regulatory requirements (e.g., JCAHO, HIPAA, CLIA, CAP, OSHA). Ability to function in all areas of the laboratory: blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and serology/immunology. Responsible for high-complexity testing. Perform quality control procedures and instrument check efficiently. Notify patient care unit and/or physician of critical lab values. Maintain accurate laboratory records on procedures performed. Ability to take direction and assimilate instructions quickly. Computer Skills required with Microsoft Office.
Regulatory Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science preferred. Five-years' Experience. Registry as American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP). Required to hold General Supervisor License with the State of Nevada.
