COVID-19 Update 9.08.2021

Covid-19 Update 9.08.2021

Active Cases: 89 (12 Vaccinated)

Hospitalized: 3 (0 Vaccinated)

Deaths: 9 (0 Vaccinated)

Total Cases: 868

Recovered: 767

Vaccines still offer the best defense against COVID-19! We can see that in our own residents of White Pine County (see the #'s above).

Masks are the 2nd most effective way to reduce spread, to limit quarantine periods, and are literally the easiest thing you can do!

Schools: All of our schools have now had outbreaks!

* The School Board, Superintendent, Faculty, and the amazing Heather Williams - school district nurse, are working very hard to keep the schools open and sports to continue. (GO BOBCATS & MUSTANGS!)

* Out of the current active cases in our community 40/89 are less than 18 years old. This is more than at anytime previous in the pandemic.

* Let's all do our part, in keeping our kids home- if sick, if quarantined - keeping them out of the public, sending them to school with a mask, hand sanitizer, ready to learn, and help our schools succeed in any way possible!

232/868 cases have come since July 1st, 2021. All of us need to be more vigilant in trying to reduce the spread! I'm Tired, You're Tired, Local Business is Tired, Health Care is Tired, Schools are Tired, but we are WHITE PINE STRONG!
