Covid-19 Update 07/19/2022

Current numbers in White Pine County have been difficult to track due to the wide availability of home tests.

In the last 48 hours we have had 10 Positive Cases.

• Headaches, Sore Throats, Fatigue, Runny/Stuff nose, Diarrhea, Vomiting.

• Treatment: Paxlovid is an antiviral medication, that increases the bodies ability to fight against the virus. Requirements to get the medication:

*Positive Test Results and Doctors Approval

*Oral Medications: 5 day treatment morning and night

Quarantine:

If positive: You should quarantine for 5 days, stay home and avoid crowds and public spaces.  After 5 days you are encouraged to wear a mask for another 5 days as you go about your business.

Vaccines:

Still the most effective treatment to avoid hospitalization.
