WBRH operating suite dedication
BRINGING STATE-OF-THE-ART TECHNOLOGY TO THE COMMUNITY
William Bee Ririe Hospital (WBRH) dedicated its newly constructed operating suite to G. Norman Christensen, M.D., on July 29. The dedication was attended by many citizens of our local community, doctors and staff members.
After the ribbon cutting ceremony, tours of an operating room were conducted.
WBRH has two general surgeons: G. Norman Christensen, M.D., and Mike Mugosa, M.D.
In the emergency department, Denis Astarita, M.D., is a surgeon with a specialty in emergency medicine.
All are certified by the American Board of Surgery.
WBRH has four visiting orthopedic surgeons: Stephen Dow, M.D., Mark Rhodes, M.D., Laurence McClish, M.D., and George Prutzman, M.D. They provide orthopedic care including treatment for trauma and fractures; sports medicine; arthroscopy; hip, knee and shoulder reconstruction; hand surgery; and foot and ankle care.
Specialty surgeons who use the operating suite include Ronald Crouch, M.D., urology; Glen Porter, M.D., otolaryngology; Paul Hiss, M.D., ophthalmology; Marc Van Tassell, D.D.S., dentistry; and Holly Omar, M.D., and Milton Lee, M.D., obstetrics and gynecology.
