Administration consists of the Administrator and Chief Executive Officer, Jan Jensen, R.N., for William Bee Ririe Hospital and Rural Health Clinic and an Administrative Secretary. Central Business Office
Services Offered: Clinic and Hospital Patient Billing information, Collections and Refunds, Accounts Receivable. The Central Business Office Staff continuously strives for patient and customer satisfaction with the constant changing of financial healthcare. Please do not hesitate to contact the knowledgeable staff for any billing or financial questions including Medicare, Medicaid, self-pay, collections, or Workman's compensation information. Customer Service Manager
In an effort to establish a more efficient system to improve better communication and provide patients and customers with a hospital communicator, a Customer Service Department was established. William Bee Ririe Hospital initiated a policy and procedure to address patient and customer concerns to continuously improve quality patient care and patient satisfaction. The Customer Service Manager is responsible to evaluate and monitor patient concern information. Dietary Department
Services Offered: Dietary consultations, prepares meals for patients and staff
The Dietary Department provides nutritional meals, three times per day, 365 days a year, to in-patients and staff.
Outpatient Nutritional Counseling consultations are available on an outpatient basis as well as for inpatients or recently discharged patients. The Registered Dietitian works closely with the Medical Staff in providing care. If the program has been recommended by a physician, the dietitian will provide physician follow-up, including:

.....Diabetic nutrition and education.
.....Cardiac nutrition.
.....Osteoporosis prevention.

Environment of Care Services
Services Offered include housekeeping and laundry. Maintains a comprehensive cleaning and laundry schedule to ensure a safe and sanitary facility. The Environmental Service Staff works to provide a quality environment for its patients, visitors, and staff. Human Resources / Payroll & Benefits
Our Human Resources and payroll department helps employees with selecting benefits and payroll obtions. New employees are scheduled for orientation sessions and are assisted in becoming a William Bee Ririe Hospital/Rural Health Clinic employee.
Health Information Systems Department
In an effort to facilitate and coordinate technological advances within William Bee Ririe Hospital and Rural Health Clinic, an Information Technology Department was created to assure the seamless transition of technological advancement. Medical Record Service
Medical Records are maintained in a clear, concise, confidential and legal manner. We work closely with the Medical Staff to achieve timely completion and accuracy of patient records, with the Busines Office to insure the billing process is accurate and timely, and meet internal and external reporting requirements. Our Medical Records Health Information Manager assures compliance standards are maintained regarding Privacy in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)and treats your Protected Health Information (PHI) with confidentiality. The Medical Records Manager is responsible to assure compliance with EMTALA regulations, compliance with Medicaid, Employment and American Disabilities Act, and Civil Rights issues.
Quality Assurance-Performance Improvement
Services Offered: Development and implementation of continuous improvement monitoring methods of the hospital and clinic facilities. The Quality Assurance-PerformanceImprovement Manager identifies potential trends and problems through encounter reports, incident reporting, quality improvement monitors, patient satisfaction surveys, patient complaints, and any number of other means. This department works with all departments monitoring areas for improvement and to meet high compliance and regulatory standards.
Radiology Department
Services Offered: Diagnostic X-Ray's, Mammography, CT Scan/MRI, Ultrasounds, Bone Densitometry and Nuclear Medicine. The Radiology Department is fully equiped to provide a wide range of diagnostic tests and studies. Diagnopstic services include Spiral Computerized Tomographic Imaging (CT Scan), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), ultrasound, mammography, and bone densitometry, C-arm for pain management and surgical use.
In July 2003, WBRH installed the Nova PACS system, the affordable picture archiving communication system for its performance, affordability and secure, remote accessibility. In addition to the PACS, the hospital purchased NovaRIS and a Computerized Radiography (CR) Scanner for its MRI, CT, Ultra Sound and Mammography modalities from NovaRad. This 100% filmless system means that everything is on the computer. The NovaPACS systems are HIPAA (Health Information Portability and Accountability Act)compliant and insure patient confidentility.
At present, the Radiology Department utilizes the services of Dr. Robert Leckie, Radiologist and Medical Director of North Star Imaging of Reno, Nevada, who is available at WBRH once each month. Teleradiology services are provided 24 hours per day - 7 days per week to WBRH.
Finally, the Radiology Department is proud of its newly-constructed area in the hospital with the MRI and CT Scan now located inside the building to better accommodate patients needs.
Picture Archive Computerized Radiology
WBRH installed a PACS System and NovaRad in October 2002. It converts X-rays to DICOM. WBRH receives the support and technology for ongoing support, maintenance, and repair services in connection with PACS systems.
Helical (Spiral) Computed Tomography
The impact on CT scanning results in increased speed of scanning and advanced computer hardware and software. CE Advantx - GE Medical Systems WBRH upgraded the x-ray machine in December 2002.
Ultrasound Machines
Purchased 2001 ultrasound GE Logiq 500 ProSeries This upgrade resulted in increased image resolution. Portable ultrasound purchased March 2003 GE Medical Systems Products LOGIQ Book CFM/Doppler Console for Breakthrough 2002: LOGIQ Book hand-carried digtal color flow ultrasound system featuring TruScan Architecture with TruAccess, Smart Scan nd Comfort Scan. This equipment has the capacity to do a full obstetrical exam with advanced calculations, a full abdominal, small parts and urology exams with full biopsy capability.
WBRH ultrasound technician is Board Certified in Obstetrics/Gynecology, abdomens, Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
Lithotripsy
Ronald Crouch, M.D., board certified, urologist, conducts Lithotripsy procedures which entail the procedure of crushing stones in the urinary bladder or urethra.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Resonance Imaging Equipment utilizing a Phipils Gyroscan T5-II Scanner, Laser Imager, and Trailer or Modular Building to house the Scanner and Imager. The MRI produces electronic imaging purchased purchased in October 2003.
Rehabilitation Department
The Rehabilitation Department serves all age groups in providing physical, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy services. The Rehabilitation Department is committed to providing quality rehabilitation services to optimize indifiduals health and function. The department is responsible for all physical, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy services ordered by the attending physician which is required for returning the patient to the highest level of function and emotional state as possible.
The Physical Therapy Department is proud of its newly-constructed area and therapy pool which was completed in the first phase of the hospital construction project in 2006. The new area boasts plenty of room to accommodate patient's therapy needs.
The location of the Rehabilitation Department is in William Bee Ririe Hospital in the new basement area of the hospital. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Respiratory Therapy Department
The Cardio-Pulmonary Department at William Bee Ririe Hospital is a full service department that offers cardiopulmonary diagnostic and therapeutic services. The Cardio-Pulmonary Department offers a full range of cardio-pulmonary diagnostic equipment and therapeutic procedures to serve the residents of White Pine County and the surrounding areas. Patients of all age groups are served by the Cardio-Pulmonary Department, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescence, adults, and geriatrics.
The location of the Cardio-Pulmonary Department at William Bee Ririe Hospital is located near the new Inpatient/Admission area of the hospital. Risk Management
Services Offered: WBRH's Risk Management Department assures regulatory compliance standards met. The Risk Manager reviews issues of behavior or practices which could extend the facility's insurance liability.
The potential for problems are identified in conjunction with various areas of the hospital and clinic facility including chart reviews, encounter reports, incident reporting, medical staff Peer Review, and other regulatory monitoring. The Risk Manager continuously works to comply with certification requirements through JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations)and the State of Nevada Bureau of Licensure.
